Mind-Matter Interaction
The Stories, Research, and Theory

This is an updated, edited, expanded, and revised version of an award-winning earlier book I wrote, called The PK Zone: A Cross-Cultural Guide to Psychokinesise. The title change reflects two things-- the extensiveness of the changes and the fact that parapsychologists now refer to psychokinesis (PK) as "mind-matter interaction."

The book itself is the end result of a personal quest to understand these phenomena. It is divided into three sections. Part I explores stories of miraculous events from a variety cultures around the globe, since the times of ancient Greece and China. It includes topics such as levitation, stigmata, inedia, teleportation, bilocation, poltergeist phenomena, fire immunity, luminosity, hemography, the materialization of matter, deliberate caused bodily damage phenomena, and weather control.

The second portion of the book shifts from the anecdotal to what science has taught us. It covers over a hundred years of experimental research, including spontaneous case collections, archival data, field investigations, and double-blind controlled studies. Beginning with studies of physical mediums and looking at dice and sphere experiments, poltergeist research, random generator research, EVP research, healing research, staring studies, metal bending studies, and other work up until 2007 (updating The PK Zone with 7 years worth of data). It then considers what what science has taught us about these phenomena, and discusses the training techniques, models, and theories that have emerged from this wealth of information.

Finally, the third section of the book investigates what the experience of performing mind-matter interaction is like for those who do it. It includes descriptions of experiences in their own words. It also considers what kinds of things appear to inhibit, or facilitate, performance. By the end, the reader is left with a comprehensive sense of all that is currently understood about mind-matter interaction.
